God’s Own Country’s Francis Lee is now filming his second feature.

Production is now officially underway on the second film from director Francis Lee. Lee sprung to prominence off the back of his excellent debut, God’s Own Country (pictured), and he’s penned the screenplay for his sophomore movie too.

Kate Winslet and Saoirse Ronan take the lead roles, in a film set in the early 19th century. It tells the story of a fossil hunter who uncovers a notable find around the cliffs of Dorset.

There’s no word yet on a UK release date, but the film is being backed by See-Saw Films. News on distribution as we get it.
