Musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie has begun its journey to the big screen.
The big screen take on hit musical Everybody’s Talking About Jamie began shooting back at the end of June. The production has been filming in and around the Sheffield area, with newcomer Max Harwood taking on the lead role in the movie.
Also in the cast for this one are Sarah Lancashire, Richard E Grant and Sharon Horgan.
The screenplay has been penned by Tom MacRae, who also wrote the book for the stage musical. Jonathan Butterell is directing the feature, and Dan Gillespie is on music duties. Choreography Kate Prince completed the team who brought the story to the stage, and will also be overseeing the movie version.
Warp Films, New Regency and Film4 are backing the project, which is now a Disney project too, given that Fox is involved as well.
The UK release date has now been confirmed too. You can expect to see the film on Wednesday October 21st 2020.
