James Patterson and Liza Marklund’s Postcard Killers is becoming a movie.

Filming kicked off in London last week on The Postcard Killings, a big screen adaptation of the book of nearly the same name, penned by James Patterson and Liza Marklund.

The film version features Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Connie Nielsen, Denis O’Hare, Naomi Battrick, Ruairi O’Connor and Cush Jumbo. The shooting of the film will move, once it’s done in London, to Scandinavia.

Danis Tanovic (No Man’s Land) is directing the film, that’s going to be shooting for the next few weeks. No release date has thus far been announced, but there is a synopsis for the movie. And it reads as follows…

THE POSTCARD KILLINGS is a chilling crime story, following Jacob Kanon (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a hardened New York Detective, in search of the person responsible for the murder of his only daughter. Across Europe, newlywed couples are being targeted in a string of bizarre homicides that leave the young victims’ bodies looking like copies of great works of art.
