Daniel Craig invites Phoebe Waller-Bridge to do rewrite work on the next James Bond film.

Following the phenomenal response to Fleabag, that reached the end of its second series last week, writer and star Phoebe Waller-Bridge is very much in demand. And it turns out she’s just been recruited by James Bond.

Daniel Craig is soon to get started filming the thus-far unnamed 25th James Bond adventure. And he’s a big fan of Fleabag. So much so that he’s asked Waller-Bridge to come in and do some late rewrite work on the upcoming James Bond adventure. She’s been tasked with added more humour and a bit of an offbeat edge to the script.

The screenplay to this point had been penned by Scott Z Burns, building on work done by John Hodge, Neil Purvis and Robert Wade.

Filming is due to start on the new Bond movie this spring, ahead of its release in April 2020. The title is due to be announced once the main production gets underway.
