A new comedy is shooting in Rhyl.

Production is underway in and around Wales on a new feature film by the name of Me, Myself & Di. The feature tells the story of a pair of friends from Bolton, who win a holiday to Rhyl in the aim of finding love. It’s come from the head of Chris Green, who has written and directed the movie. And chatted to North Wales Live, he said that “it’s a film where casting will be key to making the humour stand out. Using a mix of raw talent and familiar faces we aim to make the humour raw and sharp but also show those moments of heart and redemption that classic Brit comedies are famous for”.

The majority of the film’s shoot will take place in a holiday camp “that looks like it belongs in the 70s”.

It’ll be a family-appropriate movie, and production company Three Wise Monkeys is apparently on the lookout for extras over the next week or two. Here’s the report at North Wales Live.

No word yet on a release date, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more.
