Last year it was revealed that a new Spice Girls film was coming – and one or two more details have now been revealed.
Back in 2018, it was revealed that an animated film featuring the Spice Girls was underway, although it wasn’t too clear which studio was backing it. A few details though have now been revealed at the Annecy animation festival that’s currently taking place in France.
The film has been picked up by Paramount Pictures as part of its Paramount Animation slate. All five members of the band are confirmed to be involved in the movie too, that’ll bring together their many musical hits, as well as some new songs.
Simon Fuller is producing the movie, that’s being written by Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith. It’s still in early development, and no idea yet on who’s directing and when exactly to expect the film. More news on it all as we hear it.
