A completed short film from the UK is looking for funding so it can participate in the international film festival circuit.

The short film The Man With His Fingers In His Ears – the brain child of co-director, actor and producer Tom Michael Blyth – is looking to raise £3000 to fund the costs of submitting their film in the upcoming international film festival circuit. And they are agonising close to reaching their goal, having already raised £2,864. But, with 20 days left to meet it, they’re in need of some extra support.

The film follows an aspiring documentary maker Stella (played by Maeve Ryan) who, accompanied by her cameraman Tom, arrive in a small town to cover the story of a man who has put his fingers in his ears and won’t take them out. All of which plays out as a ‘philosophical, ethereal and comic look’ at ‘what happens when we’ve had enough’

As Ryan herself says, ‘It’s really funny and it’s really relevant right now. Little did we think, when we started making it, that a film about disconnection and cutting yourself from society would be so relevant.’

The team’s deadline to met their goal is Sunday 24th March 2019.
