In the latest episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, two films that both ended up having to delay filming for their respective stars.

The Truman Show (1998) was a breakthrough for Jim Carrey, but one crucial piece of casting went right to the wire, after Dennis Hopper departed the movie.

With Whiplash, a delay to wait for one of its cast meant the movie needed to be filmed, edited and completed in under two months – even when its director had what could have been a serious accident.
