A new family movie from Tank Girl and Doctor Who director Rachel Talalay heads to Netflix next month – and here’s the trailer.

The brilliant Rachel Talalay – who in recent years has been directing acclaimed episodes of TV shows such as Doctor Who, Sherlock, The Flash and Riverdale – originally sprung to fame off the back of features Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare and Tank Girl. The latter in particular was mangled by studio interference, but now – 25 years later – she’s brought us a new feature.

It’s the Netflix-backed A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting, a family fantasy adventure penned by Joe Ballarini. Tom Felton, Indya Moore and Oona Laurence lead the cast, and the first trailer for the movie has just been released. It looks like this…

The film lands on Netflix from October 15th, and we’ve got the official synopsis to leave you with. It reads as follows…

When high school freshman Kelly Ferguson reluctantly agrees to babysit on Halloween, she is recruited into a secret society of babysitters who protect kids with special powers from monsters. Based on the popular book series, A Babysitter’s Guide To Monster Hunting will premiere on October 15th only on Netflix.
