There’s now a slightly more affordable way to get 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs of Psycho and Dr Strangelove.

A pair of classic films that were previously available on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format courtesy of boxset releases last year are now being made available individually.

First up there’s Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, that had been part of the Hitchcock set Universal released (and it did, if memory serves, get a Steelbook release too). Now you’ll be able to buy it on its own from July 5th. You can find more information on it and order a copy here.

And then on July 12th, Stanley Kubrick’s Dr Strangelove: Or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb – previously only available in the superb, limited Columbia Classics set – will go on sale. You can find that one here.

Both discs will go on sale for £20, and have Blu-ray versions included in their respective releases.
