Sneakers is back on Blu-ray in the UK, with a host of new extra features – full details, and how to order a copy, right here.

As some of you may know, we’ve been over the past few months working hard on our very first Blu-ray release. We managed to get the UK rights to bring the wonderful 1992 caper movie Sneakers.

If you’ve never seen the movie, what an absolute joy it is. With a playful ensemble cast led by Robert Redford, we don’t want to spoil it for you. We’ll just say we love it so much we put our money where our mouth is!

We’ve put together in conjunction with our chums at Plumeria Pictures, and you can order a copy here. Note that it’s mail order only for the time being, but we’re working on that.

Here’s the full list of features…

  • Exclusive new video interview with writer-director Phil Alden Robinson (45 mins)
  • Exclusive audio commentary with Film Stories editor Simon Brew and Sneakers superfan James Moran (Severance, Cockneys vs Zombies)
  • Exclusive audio commentary with film critic and Sneakers superfan Priscilla Page
  • Audio commentary with writer-director Phil Alden Robinson and director of photography John Lindley
  • 1992 cast interviews with Robert Redford and Sidney Poitier
  • Original theatrical trailer
  • English subtitles for the hard of hearing
  • 5.1 and stereo audio tracks

The disc is shipping now, and is officially released. Thanks for all the support you’ve been giving it, and please help us spread the word!
