The much-loved The Lost Boys are heading back to cinemas around the UK this October – more details here.

A certain subset of our readership isn’t likely to appreciate the next sentence, but cult vampire favourite The Lost Boys is – gulp – 35 years old this year. The film, directed by Joel Schumacher and starring Corey Haim, Corey Feldman, Jami Gertz and Kiefer Sutherland (amongst others) wasn’t a huge hit on its initial release. It certainly made a profit at the time, but its reputation and fanbase has grown much more since.

And to celebrate the film’s 35th birthday, some news. Firstly, we’re hearing that there’s a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release in the offing, although that’s not yet been officially announced. What we do know is that The Lost Boys is returning to UK cinemas, courtesy of Park Circus.

It’s going to release the movie onto over 100 UK cinema screens on Friday 14th October 2022. Don’t be surprised if it hangs around for a week or two as well, to make the most of Halloween.

More news on the 4K disc release when we hear it. Expect The Lost Boys to start booking in due course…
