Roland Emmerich’s blockbuster disaster movie 2012 is heading to 4K Ultra HD disc in the UK in January, it’s been revealed.

One of the first catalogue title announcements for the Ultra HD 4K Blu-ray format in 2021 is the hit Roland Emmerich disaster movie from 2009, 2012.

The smash-hit film, headlined by John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Thandie Newton and Oliver Platt, will be heading to the format on January 18th.

The film will arrive, as is pretty traditional, in a pack with the Blu-ray edition of the film. As such you can expect the extra features to be as they currently are.

Further rumoured sci-fi titles arriving in 2021 on the 4K format include Elysium, Looper and Gattaca. For now, you can find out more information and order a copy right here.
