Rob Savage’s horror film Host was one of the standout surprises of 2020 – and now it’s getting a disc release in early 2021.

What started as a 60-minute film released via the Shudder service found its way – briefly – to cinema screens by the end of 2020. We’re talking about the film Host, from director Rob Savage. This is the movie that takes place over the course of a Zoom call, as a bunch of friends decide to hold a séance over the service.

If you’ve not seen the movie, we’re leaving the plot description there. Let’s just say that the less you know and the fewer lights you have on, the better this one is.

Furthermore, the movie also landed Savage a deal with Blumhouse Productions. And Second Sight has now announced the release of Host on disc.

It’s getting the deluxe limited edition treatment too. A posh slipcase, six collectors’ art cards and a booklet form part of the package. And on the Blu-ray itself you’re getting a whole host of extra features, including two commentary tracks, Rob Savage’s short forms, a BFI Q&A and a look behind the scenes too.

The whole package is released on February 22nd. You can find out more details, and preorder it, right here.
