MUBI has acquired the UK and Ireland rights to Annette, the musical opening this years Cannes Film Festival.
If, like most of us, you’re unable to attend Cannes this year, fear not. MUBI UK has picked up another film from the festival, this time the Sparks musical Annette.
We spoke about the films concept when the initial trailer was released, so we won’t bore you with repetition. What we do know is that MUBI has set a theatrical release date for the 3rd September, meaning we’re getting 4 musicals this September (Respect, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Cinderella are all due out later that month) so time to start warming those vocal muscles.
