West Midlands-based creatives in the area of TV, film and games are set to benefit from a new injection of funding into the region.

Here’s some good news in the midst of these not very fun times. The West Midlands creative sector has attracted £2m of funding, which is set to be spent on the area’s film, TV and gaming sectors.

Funded by the BFI National Cluster Growth Fund, the West Midlands Combined Authority and Tin Smart Social, the package of money will be spent on a two-year programme of activities and projects.

It’s been overseen by Create Central, which has amongst its members Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, and Nativity director Debbie Isitt, both of whom have brought filmmaking to the area.

At the moment, recruitment has begun on the first job roles for the new programme, and you can find out more about them, and the latest on it all, at https://www.createcentraluk.com/
