4K restoration of The Outsiders headed to cinemas and home media this Autumn

Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders The Complete Novel is returning to cinemas and home media with a new 4K restoration.

A brand new 4K restoration of Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders The Complete Novel will be released in cinemas on the 15th October and releasing on physical media on the 8th November courtesy of Studio Canal.

The iconic coming of age drama, based on the novel of the same name by S.E. Hinton, features a whole host of stars in some of their earliest roles including C.Thomas Howell, Matt Dillon, Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Rob Lowe and Ralph Macchio.  The film follows Ponyboy, his brothers and their crew as they fend for themselves and get mixed up with rivals The Socs, leading to unexpected and tragic consequences.

The newly restored film will be headed to the big screen from the 15th October with a 4K UHD Collector’s Edition, Blu-Ray, DVD and Digital available from the 8th November.
