James Mangold will go from bringing Indiana Jones back to the screen, to telling the story of cinema icon Buster Keaton.

He’s currently working away in Pinewood Studios as Indiana Jones 5 moves into its final run of filming, and director James Mangold has also chosen what he’s going to be following the film up with.

He’s set to make a biopic of the legendary silent movie star and comedy performer Buster Keaton. Using the book Buster Keaton: Cut To The Chase by Marion Meade as its source, the film will be produced and directed by Mangold.

It’s a project being set up and backed at 20th Century Studios, owned of course by Disney. The old Fox is where Mangold had some of his biggest successes, including Le Mans 66 and The Wolverine.

No word on who’s penning the screenplay yet, nor who’s going to be taking on the demanding role of Keaton. As we hear more, we’ll let you know…
