A very good condition copy of The Terminator on VHS has just sold for an eye-watering sum – and this might just be the beginning.

If you’re one of those people who has boxes full of old VHS tapes that you simply can’t bear to part with, then this might just be the news story that you’ve been waiting for. Not necessarily that VHS is making a vinyl-esque comeback, but instead, the value of old tapes has hit something of a landmark.

An original VHS copy of The Terminator – a first print version, in very good condition – has sold online for a cool $32,500. Which would probably cover the late return fees if you’d got it from your local video shop and failed to return it.
