A pair of Hellraiser films heading to Blu-ray

The two most recent Hellraiser movies will be getting a UK Blu-ray release in 2021, it’s been revealed.

Whilst conversations continue about a reboot/remake of the Hellraiser series of movies, two of the later entries in the series have now been earmarked for UK Blu-ray releases.

Hellraiser: Revelations – the ninth film in the saga – was released in 2011, directed by Victor Garcia. Doug Bradley, the star of the earlier movies, turned this one down given how quickly it had to be turned around. It introduced Stephan Smith Collins as Pinhead, and was infamously shot in just three weeks to fulfil a contractual obligation.

More recently, Gary J Tunnicliffe directed 2018’s Hellraiser: Judgment, the latest film in the series to date. Paul T Taylor played Pinhead in this one, and whilst the shoot was quick, the preparation for this film was longer. As such, it garnered more positive reviews.

Both are getting a UK Blu-ray release on March 1st 2021 courtesy of Lionsgate, albeit with sparse extra features. You can find out more about the Hellraiser: Revelations release and pre-order it here, whilst more on Hellraiser: Judgment here.
