The A Quiet Place saga is set to continue, but John Krasinski has suggested that he’s ready to tackle something else.

Over the last weekend, the US box office enjoyed its biggest hit in well over a year, when A Quiet Place Part II opened to the kind of numbers we took for granted pre-pandemic. The sequel, written and directed by John Krasinski, has proven to be both a big hit, and a big shot in the arm for the film industry.

Krasinski hadn’t originally planned on making a second movie, but the success of the first and an idea he had to continue the story ultimately persuaded him. However, in a new interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Krasinski has admitted that whilst there are possible plans for a third film, he’s at a point where he’s thinking of moving on.

“Even though I’m the guy who did the first two, I won’t be the guy or girl who does the last one or the last two. I know that. At the end of the day, this world is really fun to explore. This is an amazing sandbox to play in, and whether or not I’m the guy to do any more of them or how many more of them, I don’t know”, he told the outlet.

“But I know that we’re really proud of the world we created. And the fact that it’s even strong enough to have this conversation about doing more is something we’re all really proud of”.

A Quiet Place Part II opens fully in UK cinemas this Thursday.
