Tina Turner’s life story is heading to the screen in a new documentary feature.

Altitude has enjoyed box office success with a collection of documentary films based around music stars in recent times. Films such as Liam Gallagher: As It Was, Amy and Whitney have found an audience on the big screen before successes on home formats too, and arriving next year from the company is a documentary about Tina Turner.

Turner published her latest autobiography last year, and a West End musical based around her life story is currently playing. Furthermore, her story has been brought to the screen before in the Oscar-nominated film What’s Life Got To Do With it?

But this new production will be a documentary boasting quality access to Turner, as it tells her story very much with her on screen.

Dan Lindsay and T J Martin (LA 92, Undefeated) are directing the film, and whilst an official release date hasn’t yet been announced, the film is due in 2020. More news on it as we hear it.
