The late Alan Rickman’s diaries will be published this year, with an October release inked in: more details here.

It’s six years this month that we lost the great Alan Rickman, and his absence from our screens remains keenly felt. It’s also a year or two now that we got the revelation Rickman had kept diaries in his lifetime, with a reported 27 handwritten volumes. It was also announced that those diaries were being compiled into a book, that Rickman had reportedly planned to publish.

This October, those diaries will go on sale, in edited form. The Rickman Diaries will be published by Henry Holt & Company, and the publisher has set a release date of October 18th 2022. Still some way off, but they’re coming this year.

The holding page lists the publication as 320 pages, but with full details and cover art not yet released, that’s obviously subject to change. Still, they’re coming this year, and if you’re particularly enthusiastic, you can find the listing – and order a copy – here.
