Jessie Buckley and Rory Kinnear star in the new film from Ex Machina and Annihilation director Alex Garland – and it heads to the UK in May.

Comfortably one of the films we’re most excited about this year is the third movie as director – fourth if you count Dredd – from the brilliant Alex Garland. Previously to his name have been Ex Machina and Annihilation, two outstanding movies. Now, he’s turned his attention to Men, that’s set to star Jessie Buckley, Rory Kinnear and Pappa Essiedu.

The film follows a young woman, played by Buckley, who goes on holiday to the English countryside after her ex-husband dies. Garland penned the script for this one as well as directs, and the film has been backed by A24 in the US, who has already released a trailer for it.

What we didn’t know was the UK release details for Men, and now we have them. Entertainment Film Distributors has picked the movie up, and is planned a very wide release for the film. It’s also inked it on the schedule for Friday 20th May in the UK, just over two months away at the time of writing.

Very much looking forward to this one, and for the moment, we’ll leave you with the trailer for the film…
