Saoirse Ronan and Kate Winslet star in the acclaimed Ammonite, that’s been confirmed for a physical media release in the UK.

Francis Lee’s second film as director, Ammonite, won no shortage of acclaim when it debuted at the London Film Festival last year. In particular, the lead performances from Saoirse Ronan and Kate Winslet drew plenty of positive ink.

The film didn’t make quite the expected impact during the recent awards season, and it had its UK cinema plans truncated due to, well, present circumstances. Lionsgate gave it a premium video on demand release here in the UK in the end, although it will be getting a cinema outing when indoor cinemas open again next month.

Furthermore, we now learn that it’s getting a physical media release too. The film will be arriving on both DVD and Blu-ray from June 14th in the UK.

The disc versions will feature a making of featurette, and a piece on the film’s costumes. No further details of extra features have thus far been confirmed.

For the minute, you can find out more, and get hold of a copy of the film, right here.
