For 24 hours in the UK, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of The Opera is set to stream for free – details right this way.

Each week, Andrew Lloyd Webber has been releasing a version of one of his musicals for free streaming on YouTube. They’re only available for a short time, but thus far the productions of Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar have proven hugely popular.

As should the next that he’s making available.

At 7pm on Friday 17th April, the 25th anniversary production of Phantom Of The Opera from the Royal Albert Hall will be arriving on the specially-created YouTube channel. This time, though, you’ve got less time to watch it.

In the UK, the musical will only be available for 24 hours, as opposed to the 48 hours we’ve had to watch the first time. Something to do with UK rights and permissions, from what we can tell. Outside of the UK, the 48 hour window applies. Odd, but there you go.

The stream of the show will appear below from 7pm tonight, and you can click directly through to YouTube from there too.

No word yet on what next week’s production will be. Lloyd Webber has at least four more lined up though, possibly more.
