A documentary about the career of football manager Arsene Wenger is weeks away from release: more details on the the film right here.

A year after the release of the last movie he co-directed landed, Gabriel Clarke (Finding Jack Charlton, Bobby Robson: More Than A Manager) has teamed up with Christian Jeanpierre to tell the story of Arsene Wenger in a new documentary.

Entitled Arsene Wenger: Invincible, the film will tell the story of the former Arsenal football manager, set against the backdrop of the 2003/4 season. That was the year when Arsenal went through a Premier League season in England unbeaten.

However, the film is described as a film documentary portrait, and it’s going through the bad times as well as the good. Wenger’s story will take us through to his exit from the club after 22 years in charge, and he has been involved in the telling of the story. We’re getting fresh access and unseen footage, as Wenger tells his story.

He does so with the help of figures such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp, Ian Wright, Emmanuel Petit and Robert Pires.

We’re expecting a trailer for the movie soon, but in the meantime it’s gone up for sale on DVD and Blu-ray, with a release date of November 22nd. You can get more information and order yourself a copy right here.

UPDATE

Here’s the trailer – and the film is in cinemas for a week or so too, on November 11th…
