Zack Snyder’s newly framed remaster of Batman V Superman is coming to 4K disc in the UK this April.

Whilst much of the current focus when it comes to Zack Snyder do-overs of his films is inevitably being focused on Justice League, he’s also been doing a little bit of work on Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice as well. As had been mooted, he and his team have been reframing the movie for IMAX aspect ratio ahead of a fresh disc release for it.

In the US, the Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Ultimate Edition – as it’s being called – will be available on HBO Max from March 18th, with a 4K disc release the week after.

In the UK, it’s unclear thus far when we’ll be getting the film’s new version on digital services, but the disc has now appeared online with a release date of April 26th 2021. Pre-orders are open for it now, and you can find more information – and the order listing – right here.

It’s billed as “Now With Enhanced Color and Expanded Picture Aspect Ratio”.

Note that it’s only appearing on 4K disc this one, from what we can tell. The existing version of the film remains available on DVD and Blu-ray too of course.

More as we hear it.
