Ben Stiller to direct new Oscar Isaac movie, London

Based on a story by Jo Nesbo, Oscar Isaac is set to star in the film London, that Ben Stiller is going to direct.

This looks interesting. Ben Stiller has set his new film as director, the first since he helmed Zoolander 2 in 2016 (although he’s directed the TV series Escape At Dannemora since). This time, he’s moving into science fiction with an intriguing new project that’s been set up at Lionsgate.

The film is called London, and it’s a new feature based on a short story from Jo Nesbo. In turn, it’s been adapted for the screen by Oscar-winning scribe Eric Roth.

What’s more, it looks like it’s moving ahead shortly, with the lead for its cast now in place. The mighty Oscar Isaac – who initially acquired the rights to the project – is both producing and starring in the movie.

Details as to what it’s about? Well, they’re thin on the ground at the moment, short of that the film isn’t a science fiction movie, as original reports had been suggested. Can’t even tell you if it’s set in London, to be honest.

More news on the project as we hear it, though.
