The full cast for Ben Wheatley’s Rebecca has been confirmed.

For his next movie project, director Ben Wheatley is following where Alfred Hitchcock trod before, by adapting Daphne De Maurier’s gothic story Rebecca for the big screen.

Already on board the cast for this one are Armie Hammer (who previously worked with Wheatley on Free Fire), and Lily James. And the latest additions to the cast have been revealed as production gets underway. Kristin Scott Thomas is to take on the role of housekeeper Mrs Danvers in the new film, whilst also added to the ensemble are Keeley Hawes, Ann Dowd, Sam Riley and Ben Crompton.

Jane Goldman has written the script for the new take on the material, and filming is set to get underway next year. Working Title and Netflix are partnering on the project to bring it to the screen, too.

No word as of yet on a release date, but we’ll keep you posted as we hear more. Netflix has the rights to the movie.
