Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter are back as Bill & Ted, and we’ve got the brand new trailer for their next excellent adventure to prove it.

Whilst a lot of the fuss has understandably centered on Christopher Nolan’s upcoming blockbuster Tenet where the reopening of cinemas is concerned, one film that’s held steady right thoughout all the current disruption is Bill & Ted Face The Music.

The film wrapped production a few months ago, and reunites Alex Winter and Keanu Reeves in the lead roles, with Galaxy Quest's Dean Parisot behind the camera. And it’s been on the schedules for an August release for some time now. What’s more, it doesn’t look like it’s budging, with the release of the first poster and now the first trailer too.

Here’s the trailer.

And here’s the poster…

The synopsis reads…

Directed by Dean Parisot with returning franchise writers Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon, the film will continue to track the time-traveling exploits of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. Yet to fulfill their rock and roll destiny, the now middle aged best friends set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends — to seek the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

The film is set for release on August 21st 2020.
