Blue Story confirmed for April DVD release

Rapman’s hit movie Blue Story is getting an extras-packed DVD release – but no Blu-ray.

Fresh from its hit run at the UK box office before Christmas, Rapmanā€™s debut feature, Blue Story, is now being readied for a home formats release.

The film was arguably the breakout surprise hit of the autumn and winter season at British cinemas, with the story of Stephen Odubolaā€™s Timmy and Micheal Wardā€™s Marco on opposite sides of a gang war grossing over Ā£4m. The home formats release should give that total a healthy boost too, making the film a very profitable one for Paramount Pictures, that backed it.

Sadly, it doesnā€™t look like a Blu-ray release is on the cards, though, with just a DVD and digital download edition formally announced thus far. The digital version will be available on April 13th, and the DVD from April 20th.

On the plus side, thereā€™s a good selection of bonus features, and it looks like theyā€™ll be available on both the disc and download versions. Hereā€™s the line-up:

  • Rapman
  • The Cast Of Blue Story
  • The Making Of Blue Story
  • The Message Of Blue Story
  • The Blue Story
  • Deleted and Extended Scenes

The movie is available to preorder imminently, and you can find it right here.
