The Rugrats are heading back to the movies.

Huge fans of the Rugrats here, and the terrific Nickelodeon animated series is getting a fresh run at the movies (following the sizeable success of primarily The Rugrats Movie and Rugrats In Paris). This time, a new movie is on the way that’ll mix live action and CG, and the job of bringing that to life has been given to British helmer David Bowers.

Bowers previously has co-directed Flushed Away for Aardman, and three of the Diary Of A Wimpy Kid movies as well. He’ll be working from a script penned by David Goodman, and the idea is to have the new, thus far unnamed film in cinemas for January 29th 2021. No casting news has thus far been announced for the new film.
