Candyman moves to summer 2021

The brand new Candyman film remains on course for a cinema release, but not now until August of 2021 – more details here.

Originally scheduled for release earlier this year, and delayed more than once in the light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the new take on Clive Barker’s Candyman has a brand new release date.

Refreshingly, this is a horror film that’s not going straight to streaming or on-demand either, as Universal remains determined that the movie sees the inside of a cinema. As such, the film – penned by Jordan Peele and directed by Nia DaCosta – is now going to be with us on August 27th 2021.

The movie is said to be a spiritual sequel to the much-loved and really quite excellent original film.
