The film Rodeo won the prestigious Coup de Coeur du Jury Special Prize at the Cannes Film Festival last month – and now it’s heading to the UK.

Rodeo, a French feature that won a prestigious prize at the Cannes Film Festival in May, will be distributed by Curzon in the UK, according to Screendaily.

The film follows a young woman, played by newcomer Julie Ledru, as she attempts to break into the male dominated world of dirt-biking and urban rodeos – in which competitors show off their most dangerous stunts during illicit gatherings.

It marks the directorial debut of Lola Quivoron, who co-wrote the screenplay with Antonia Buresi.

A precise release date has yet to be announced, but it is expected to be released later this year. The movie took home the Coup de Coeur du Jury Special Prize at the recent festival. More on it in due course.
