Martin Scorsese’s remake of Cape Fear is getting a new Blu-ray release to mark its 30th birthday.
How’s that for a headline to make some of us feel old? Martin Scorsese’s remake of the film Cape Fear, starring Robert De Niro as Max Cady, is heading for its 30th birthday early next year. Originally a movie that Steven Spielberg was toying with directing – Scorsese and Spielberg swapped projects, with the latter taking Schindler’s List, that the former was originally looking to helm – Cape Fear co-starred Jessica Lange, Nick Nolte and Juliette Lewis.
The 30th anniversary Blu-ray release is with us in the UK on September 13th, and it seems to carry over extras from previous releases. There’s new artwork for the release though, and you can see that at the bottom.
