Carnival Row and Life In A Year star Cara Delevingne is set to play a daring climber and activist in eco-thriller The Climb.

Cara Delevingne will star in The Climb, an eco-thriller following six women who climb London’s Shard (the tallest building in Europe) as part of a protest against Shell Oil’s plans to drill into the arctic. The climate change-protesting film will be written and directed by Hayley Easton Street, Deadline reports. Street is an accomplished VFX art director who has worked on Justice League and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. She began her career working in this capacity on the long-running soap Hollyoaks.

The film is being produced by Eclipse Films, and will search for a buyer at the virtually-held European Film Market. Not much else is known about the project at the moment, except that it will use digital production technology. This is the kind of technology that has been used by Disney during the production of shows like The Mandalorian and the recently-concluded The Book Of Boba Fett.

Delevingne is also currently working on the second season of Only Murders In The Building. In December 2021, Deadline reported that the actor had joined the show as a series regular. It airs on Disney+ in the UK, though there is currently no release date set for the second season.
