The Russo brothers are reuniting with key Marvel personnel for their next film, and casting details have now been confirmed.
The Electric State, based on the illustrated novel by Simon Stålenhag, is set in what is described as a retro-futuristic past, in which a young woman traverses the American West with a sweet robot and and an eccentric drifter in the hopes of finding her younger brother. And it’s the next film to be directed by the Russo brothers.
Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown and Chris Pratt will headline the film, alongside Michelle Yeoh, Stanley Tucci, Jason Alexander, Brian Cox and Jenny Slate
Long time Marvel scribes Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely have penned the screenplay, and are also executive producing alongside the Russo Brothers for their production company AGBO.
The Electric State will be released by Netflix, but no date has yet been announced. We will keep you updated as we hear more.
