This Nan’s Life is heading to the screen.
It’s been announced that Catherine Tate is to bring one of her most popular characters to the movies. Her potty-mouth Nan creation will be the focus of a film called This Nan’s Life, in which she will star. The film will reportedly dig into the original story of Nan. Alongside Tate in the cast will be Matthew Horne and Katherine Parkinson.
Tate has written the script along with Brett Goldstein, and the movie is set to be directed by Josie Rourke (who most recently helmed Mary Queen Of Scots). Damian Jones is to produce the feature, and the UK distribution rights have been picked up by Warner Bros, with a view towards a 2020 release date.
