The 1985 Stephen King-based horror Cat’s Eye gets a 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray release – here are more details of the release.

In a welcome announcement, Studiocanal has revealed that it’s released the 1980s Stephen King adaptation Cat’s Eye on the 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray format. The film, which contains three stories, was directed by Lewis Teague, and features Drew Barrymore and James Woods. What’s more, it scared the bejesus out of me as a nipper, and I’m rather wary of watching it all again.

The 4K disc release arrives on May 23rd, and there are new extra features too. The listed features for the release are:

  • New interview with Director Lewis Teague
  • Audio Commentary with Lewis Teague
  • Johnny Norris on the Edge: Robert Hays Remembers Cat’s Eye
  • “Like Herding Cats”: A Conversation with Animal Trainer Teresa Ann Miller
  • Original Theatrical Trailer

The film is available to preorder on 4K now, and you can find more information – and order a copy – here.
