Chaos Walking is heading to disc in June

Doug Liman’s film of Chaos Walking may have skipped cinemas in the UK, but it’s getting a good-looking disc release this June – details here.

You don’t need this site to tell you that things did not go to plan where the movie Chaos Walking was concerned. Starring Daisy Ridley and Tom Holland, the movie adapts Patrick Ness’s book The Knife Of Never Letting Go. When Lionsgate embarked on the project, it would have had one eye on a new series of films.

However, the Doug Liman-directed movie cost around $100m to make, and went back for extensive reshoots. Then, thanks to the obvious, the film’s cinema release was truncated. In the UK, it ended up going straight to premium video on demand services. Far from the original plan.

But it is getting a full physical media release, and the film is available for preorder now. It lands in the UK on June 1st, and will be on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray too.

In terms of extra features, there’s this little lot..

Audio Commentary with Director Doug Liman, Producer Alison Winter and Editor Doc Crotzer
A Director’s Noise
Inner Thoughts with Patrick Ness
The Source of the Silence
Citizens of Prentisstown
The Music of Chaos Walking
Deleted Scenes with Optional Audio Commentary

Furthermore, those extras are across all physical formats from what we can tell (DVD included).
