Chris Evans looks set to join the growing ensemble for the new take on the Little Shop Of Horrors musical.

Things look like they’re moving forward where the new big screen take on Little Shop Of Horrors is concerned. The film will be a remake of the film that was based on a Hollywood musical that was in turn based on a movie. We’ve already heard that both Taron Egerton and Scarlett Johansson have been linked with the film.

Next to be added to the ensemble? That looks like being Captain America himself, Chris Evans (on the right of the picture above). He’s in talks to play the infamously sadistic dentist Orin Scrivello in the new film. Separately, Billy Porter has apparently signed on the dotted line to voice the Audrey II plant.

Directing the film is Greg Berlanti, and Warner Bros is backing the project. The plan is to have the movie before the cameras over the summer, with a view presumably to a release in 2021.

Whilst Egerton, Johansson and Evans are not yet officially confirmed for the film, it’s looking very much a case of when not if that news arrives.

More as we hear it.
