Chris Pratt’s slate continues to fill up since his move into self-produced titles last year – and he’s adding a new comedy.

Chris Pratt seems to be getting busier by the day. As well as juggling two gargantuan franchises in the form of Guardians Of The Galaxy and Jurassic World, the actor has recently been adding a slew of other projects to his slate as well. The latest addition is The Black Belt, a planned indie comedy that was been penned as a spec script by Billions writer Randall Green.

As announced by The Hollywood Reporter, the film is set to be ‘a comedic coming-of-age story about a shy, unassuming teen boy on a quest for expertise in karate, and the unorthodox uncle who guides him along the way. Pratt will play the uncle.’

Monarch Media is producing alongside Pratt’s own production banner, Indivisible Pictures.

Pratt has a whole host of projects coming up, including the recently-announced action movie Saigon Bodyguards where he will team up once more with Avengers directors, the Russo brothers.

He’ll also appear in the upcoming Thor: Love & Thunder and Guardians Of The Galaxy 3, as well as having already shot and completed The Tomorrow War and Jurassic World: Dominion. No director has been announced for The Black Belt but we’ll keep you posted.
