With production shortly to get underway, Christopher Nolan adds Dane DeHaan to the cast of his new film, Oppenheimer.

The ensemble for Christopher Nolan’s new film continues to grow, with the film now on the eve of production.

Nolan is making Oppenheimer, a biopic of one of the creators of the atomic bomb, J Robert Oppenheimer. We’ve long known that Cillian Murphy is in the lead role, with a cast that also includes Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr, Florence Pugh, Emily Blunt, Josh Hartnett, Benny Safdie and Rami Malek.

That ensemble has now grown further with the addition of Dane DeHaan in a thus-far unnamed role.

Nolan has penned the script for Oppenheimer and will of course direct as well. Production is due to start in the next couple of weeks, with Universal – rather than Nolan’s traditional home of Warner Bros – backing the project.

Oppenheimer will be with us in the summer of 2023.
