Reports suggest that Christopher Nolan will continue to support the IMAX format whilst promoting his secretive new film.

It’s no great surprise to hear reports that celebrated filmmaker, Christopher Nolan is planning to launch the marketing campaign for his upcoming espionage action film, Tenet, by including an IMAX-only prologue that will be screening in front of an upcoming Christmas blockbuster this holiday season.

Nolan has used the same approach regularly with his previous works, including The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Returns and Dunkirk. The large-screen format is one he favours and the director is probably the greatest filmmaker out there at realising the strengths of IMAX to create astonishing moments in his movies.

Whilst nothing has been confirmed as yet, Dark Horizons is reporting that the upcoming IMAX screenings of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker are probably a good bet for the IMAX prologue.

Until that point, we’ll have to be content with eagerly looking forward to Nolan’s next offering, which promises to be an action espionage film featuring an impressive cast that includes Robert Pattison, John David Washington, Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh and Michael Caine.
