Cleanin’ Up The Town: trailer, release date for Ghostbusters documentary

12 years in the making, here’s the trailer for what promises to be a treat of a documentary for Ghostbusters fans.

It’s taken over a decade to get here, but a comprehensive documentary all about Ghostbusters is finally released next month. And the film – Cleanin’ Up The House – has been confirmed to be had its European premiere at the BFI IMAX in London earlier this month.

The movie is a labour of love for Claire and Anthony Bueno, who have pulled the film together. And now we can confirm that there will be a UK cinema release. It’s been announced that the movie will be out on January 7th 2020. A video on demand release will then follow on January 27th, and a Blu-ray and DVD edition – with an extended two hour cut of the documentary – will arrive in March.

And the synopsis reads as follows…

CLEANIN’ UP THE TOWN: Remembering Ghostbusters, is the definitive retrospective documentary, resulting from twelve years of research and production. It charts the making of the original 1984 Ghostbusters, featuring interviews with director Ivan Reitman, and lead cast Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson. In addition, the documentary hallmarks the extraordinary achievements made by the filmmakers working in visual effects era before the game-changing Jurassic Park. It reveals a story of ingenuity, innovation and emphasises just how ambitious an undertaking the making of Ghostbusters really was.
