12 years in the making, here’s the trailer for what promises to be a treat of a documentary for Ghostbusters fans.

It’s taken over a decade to get here, but a comprehensive documentary all about Ghostbusters is finally released next month. And the film – Cleanin’ Up The House – has been confirmed to be getting its European premiere at the BFI IMAX in London. Tickets for that are available here.

The movie is a labour of love for Claire and Anthony Bueno, who have pulled the film together. It’ll be in UK cinemas in December, ahead of its DVD and on demand release next year. And we’ve now got too an official trailer and synopsis for the film.

Here’s the trailer…

And the synopsis reads as follows…

CLEANIN’ UP THE TOWN: Remembering Ghostbusters, is the definitive retrospective documentary, resulting from twelve years of research and production. It charts the making of the original 1984 Ghostbusters, featuring interviews with director Ivan Reitman, and lead cast Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson. In addition, the documentary hallmarks the extraordinary achievements made by the filmmakers working in visual effects era before the game-changing Jurassic Park. It reveals a story of ingenuity, innovation and emphasises just how ambitious an undertaking the making of Ghostbusters really was.

More on the movie as we get it.
