Multiplexes of Britain will be inviting you to join in the celebrations for Sir Cliff Richard’s 80th birthday.

Whether you’re a fan or not, there’s little doubting the energy of Sir Cliff Richard. He’s celebrating his 80th birthday with a delayed tour. I’m nowhere near his age, and try to celebrate with half a glass of wine and an early night.

That notwithstanding, not only is Sir Cliff going to be banging out tunes at the Royal Albert Hall, but it’s going to beamed to cinemas around the UK too. Cliff Richard: The Great 80 Tour will be screened live in UK multiplexes and assorted indies on Wednesday 27th October, with encourage screenings also booked in for Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st.

The show has provisionally been rated 12A just in case Sir Cliff goes rogue, and booking is now open at supporting cinemas.

Here’s the promo video, to get you in the mood for the show…
