Tim Curry headlines the ensemble for the much-loved Clue, that’s getting a surprise DVD reissue here in the UK.
It’s floated in and out of print in the UK over the years, but with the spike of interest in light-hearted whodunnits – sequels are on the way to Murder Mystery and Knives Out – we’ve now learned that Paramount is re-releasing Clue on DVD.
If you’ve not heard of this one, well crikey. It’s based on the game we know as Cluedo and was notable for being shipped to cinemas with three different endings – and you never knew which you were going to get. It may not have hit big over here, but it built a cult following. And, of course, you get the wonderful Tim Curry as part of an ensemble that also includes Eileen Brennan, Christopher Lloyd, Lesley Ann Warren and Medline Kahn.
It’s unclear if there are new extra features with the new release, but we’re guessing now. That notwithstanding, the film is up for preorder for £5, and it’s absolutely worth that.
