Jim Moir, aka Vic Reeves, will cease performing after the completion of the film The Glove, it’s been revealed.

Jim Moir has been doing comedy as Vic Reeves both with and without double act partner Bob Mortimer for over 30 years now. Now, though, he has confirmed that he will stop performing after completing work on the project.

Titled The Glove, the film is set to be jam packed with Reeves and Mortimer’s absurdist humour, as two best friends go on a road trip to recover Michael Jackson’s lost training glove.

Written by Reeves and Mortimer themselves, the film will be directed by Tim Kirkby, who is perhaps the only person in history who can say they’ve worked with critically acclaimed comedian Stewart Lee (on Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle) and Jackass star Johnny Knoxville (on 2018’s Action Point).

As reported by the British Comedy Guide, Reeves also revealed that filming has been delayed until 2023.
