Countdown confirmed for March DVD release in the UK

Horror thriller Countdown is coming to DVD (but not to Blu-ray).

Early solid reviews when it landed in cinemas a couple of months back is the horror thriller Countdown. The movie was directed by Justin Dec (his debut), and the cast for it was led by Elizabeth Lail, Jordan Calloway, Talitha Bateman and Peter Facinelli.

If you missed the movie, the central idea was someone downloading an app to their phone, that predicted when said person will die. Thing is, the subsequent countdown proved to be not without some accuracy.

The movie did okay business in cinemas, but it’s on home formats where it’s likely to make – ready for it? – a killing. It’s now been confirmed, therefore, that the digital download version of the movie will be on sale from February 17th, and the DVD is released on March 2nd.

There’s no Blu-ray release in the UK, nor a 4K version. We don’t have details of extra features as of yet either.

You can, however, preorder the movie, and more details are right here.
